Ryanair Holdings Plc, the Irish budget airline, is to pay USD3.57bn for its Boeing aircraft.

According to the airline's regulatory filing, the price is a major discount from the list price. The contract price for individual 737-800 aircraft will be USD51m, which includes the engines as well as optional features.

The list price for the model, according to Boeing's website, is between USD61.5m and USD69.5m, The Associated Press reported. Boeing has said that it is common to offer discounts for large orders. Ryanair has ordered 70 aircraft.

Third party equipment ordered by Ryanair to be installed in the aircraft will apparently cost about USD0.9m in additional costs, per aircraft.
