America West announces new direct service between Las Vegas and Long Beach

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

America West Airlines (NYSE: AWA) has announced the start of new direct service between its Las Vegas hub and Long Beach, California.

According to the airline, the new service makes the total number of daily departures from Las Vegas 144, to 59 direct destinations. America West Express, operated by Mesa Airlines, will reportedly provide the new service, using Canadair Regional Jet 900 (CRJ900) aircraft.
