AirTran reaches agreement with AFA

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
AirTran Airways and the Association of Flight Attendants, representing the airline's 1,300 flight attendants, have reached a tentative agreement on a new 42-month contract.
According to the airline, the federal mediator John J. Kane assisted in reaching an agreement.
AirTran said that the terms of the agreement will not be disclosed until there has been a ratification vote. The vote is reportedly expected to be carried out within about 30 days. The ratified agreement would step into force on 1 June 2005.
