US Airways to increase service to New England

US Airways Express has announced that it will increase its service to Maine, Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard for the summer.

Beginning in June, US Airways Express plans to add new daily flights between Nantucket and both Philadelphia and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. The carrier will also increase the number of flights from Nantucket to New York LaGuardia.

The airline will also return seasonal service to Martha's Vineyard from Reagan National and LaGuardia.

The majority of the seasonal Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard services will be operated by Piedmont Airlines with 37-seat turboprop aircraft and by PSA Airlines with 50-seat regional jets, and will begin on 23 June 2005.

In addition, the carrier plans to add new flights between Bangor, Maine, and Philadelphia; Bangor and New York LaGuardia; Portland, Maine, and New York LaGuardia; and to resume daily service between Portland and Pittsburgh. The new services will begin the week of 5 June 2005.
