United Airlines allows frequent flyers to redeem miles for restaurants and online merchants

United Airlines (OTC Bulletin Board: UALAQ) has expanded its Mileage Plus frequent flyer programme so that 1K, Premier Executive and Premier Mileage Plus members will be able to redeem miles for restaurant certificates and online culinary purchases with Dining Dough.
The airline has said that Elite Mileage Plus members may redeem 1,000 miles for USD25 Dining Certificates and 5,000 miles for USD125 Dining Certificates that are valid at more than 6,000 restaurants in the US. Additionally, the certificates are also valid for use with selected online merchants such as Lobster-Gram, Wine.com, Mrs. Fields Cookies and Allen Brothers Steak Company.
According to the terms and conditions for Dining Dough Certificates, the redemption must be complete by 31 October 2005.
