China Southern Airlines (NYSE:ZNH) has signed an entry agreement with the Beijing Tianzhu Airport Industrial Zone for an expansion in the capital airport complex.
The airline has said that in September 2004 it became the first airline to own and operate its own exclusive terminal at Beijing Capital International Airport. It is reportedly expected that China Southern will be using part of the new facility as a secure bonded cargo area.
The new Beijing Branch is also expected to be China Southern's largest base in Northern China.
