Surcharges on fares with American Airlines have been increased on flights both to and from most of the airline's international destinations, including Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.
The fare increase is effective immediately and represents an extra USD10 for a one-way flight with the airline and USD20 for a return flight. The increase will help offset the record high cost of jet fuel, said the company.
