Concealed plastic gun and pepper spray bypass security checks at Vienna's airport

An Austrian Interior Ministry agent working undercover at Vienna airport was able to pass through security checks whilst carrying a plastic pistol and a container of pepper spray.
According to airport officials the incident, which occurred on 12 July, was conducted as part of the routine security tests now required by European Union security officials.
The undercover officer identified himself at the gate and did not board a flight, reported The Associated Press. Airport officials added that security levels at the airport have been in no way comprised.
