Flights disrupted by typhoon in Japan

Air traffic in Japan was disrupted on Thursday (25 August) by a powerful typhoon that brought heavy rain and winds of up to 89 mph to the region.
A total of 14 flights, due to be operated by Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways, were grounded due to the storm, local media reported.
The typhoon was said to be heading in a northerly direction over the Pacific Ocean and was expected to reach the Tokyo area on Thursday evening.
