Delta allows travellers affected by Katrina to change tickets

Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) has said that customers who are booked on flights travelling to or from selected cities in the Gulf Coast region may make adjustments to their travel schedule due to the continued impact of Hurricane Katrina.
The airline said that it has proactively cancelled some flights because of the storm. Delta listed the affected cities as including: New Orleans, La; Alexandria, La; Baton Rouge, La; Lafayette, La; Monroe, La; Gulfport, Miss; Jackson, Miss; Meridian, Miss; Mobile, Ala; Pensacola, Fla; Panama City, Fla; and Fort Walton Beach, Fla.
The airline said that those customers who purchased tickets by 27 August, and were scheduled to travel between 27 August and 6 September to, from or through New Orleans and Gulfport on Delta, Song, Delta Connection or Delta-coded flights, may make a one-time change without penalty or additional fees if tickets are changed by 6 September 2005. Travel has to begin on or before 6 September 2005 while customers who purchased tickets by 27 August and are scheduled to travel on 27-31 August to, from or through Alexandria, Baton Rouge, Jackson, Lafayette, Meridian, Monroe, Mobile, Pensacola, Panama City and Fort Walton Beach may make a one-time change without penalty or additional fees if tickets are changed by 6 September 2005, and travel begins on or before that day.
