Frontier Airlines reports preliminary July traffic figures

Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) has reported its preliminary traffic results for July 2005.

According to the airline, the revenue passenger miles increased by 7.1% to 731,270,000 for July 2005 year-on-year while the available seat miles increased by 3.8%. The resulting load factor for July 2005 was 81.9%, an increase of 2.5 percentage points year-on-year.

Frontier reported that it carried 757,091 passengers in July 2005, an increase of 10.8% compared to July 2004.

The airline also said that the passenger yield for the month was USD0.1139, an increase of 11.2% year-on-year, while the passenger revenue per available seat mile was USD0.0933, up USD0.0119 or 14.6% year-on-year, and the average length of haul decreased by 3.4% to 966 miles.
