Norwegian Air Shuttle reports passenger numbers up by 70% in July 2005

Norwegian low-fare airline Norwegian Air Shuttle (Norwegian) reported on Tuesday (9 August) that it transported a total of 300,536 passengers in July 2005, an increase of 70% as compared to 206,329 passengers in July 2004.
The total passenger traffic (RPK) increased by 81%, and the cabin factor was up 12 percentage points to 91%. Capacity (ASK) increased by 56%.
The domestic passenger traffic (RPK) increased by 13% while capacity (ASK) decreased by 2%. The international passenger traffic (RPK) increased by 139% and capacity (ASK) by 109%.
The domestic cabin factor increased to 87% from 76% in July 2004, and the international cabin factor increased to 94% from 82%.
Norwegian estimated a yield of NOK0.62 per RPK in July 2005.
