The United States Air Transport Association supports risk-based analysis of passengers.

James May, the president of the Air Transport Association, told Congress yesterday (12 December) that the airline industry supports risk-based passenger analysis. May testified before the US Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation regarding new actions by the Transportation Security Administration, Pacific Business News reported.

May said that the significance of the action is as much in the specific screening and prohibited-list changes announced as in the fact that they are the result of a deliberate and careful risk analysis.
