The recovery of the bodies from the crashed Kam Air aircraft in Afghanistan had not yet started yesterday (10 February).

The recovery operations were not yet under way because of the heavy snow on the mountains in the area. The Boeing 737, which crashed into a mountain on 3 February, has only been briefly inspected due to the weather since the accident. NATO troops, planning to build a helipad at the site, and Afghan National Army troops have been grounded in a steady snowfall in Kabul, reported The Associated Press. NATO's spokesperson Major Karen Tissot Van Patot said that the priority is to get ANA and government investigators to the site.

The Afghan authorities have declared all of the 96 passengers and eight crew members dead.
