The Serbian government is to impose a caretaker management team on its national carrier JAT Airways.
The decision was made following an agreement between authorities and JAT Airways' trade unions, officials said on Tuesday (15 February).
The caretaker management will oversee the restructuring of JAT Airways, including layoffs and selling a number of businesses owned by the carrier, among others a radio station, hotels, a catering service, mechanical and engineering support service, and a pilots' academy.
A cabinet session on Thursday (17 February) will select a caretaker manager, reported The Associated Press.
