Alcatel awarded EUR41m contract from Dubai International Airport

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
French telecomms company Alcatel has been awarded a EUR41m contract from Dubai International Airport to provide and install a telecomms and security system.
The contract was awarded by the Dubai Department of Civil Aviation, with the construction work expected to be complete by the middle of 2007.
A spokesperson for Alcatel said that the contract is the company's largest airport communications contract to date, and it had beaten strong competition to win it, reports AFX.
