Birmingham airport discloses expansion plans

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
Birmingham International Airport in England has revealed major expansion plans which will provide capacity for almost 35 million passengers per year.
The plan follows the UK government's decision to allow the airport to build a second runway and extend the existing one. Birmingham airport is the fifth busiest in the UK and handled just under 9 million passengers in 2004.
