A Nordic Airlink MD82 made an unscheduled landing at Kallax airport near Lulea, Sweden today (2 February) due to engine trouble.
The aircraft, which was carrying 142 passengers and crew, returned to the airport shortly after taking off and made a safe landing with no injuries. The aircraft turned back because the pilots got an indication of engine malfunction shortly after take-off.
No cause of the malfunction is so far known, but the aircraft is to be examined thoroughly, The Associated Press reported.
