Authorities were forced to close the Prague international airport on Tuesday (22 February) due to heavy snowfall and strong winds.

The airport was closed shortly after 1200 local time and, as a result, the Czech foreign minister had to cancel his trip to Brussels, where he was due to attend a summit between the European Union and the United States, the foreign ministry said in a statement.
