Ryanair orders 70 new aircraft with option for 70 more

Ryanair, a budget carrier, has ordered 70 Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
According to the airline it also has an option for a further 70 aircraft. The firm orders placed by Ryanair were valued at USD4bn and would allow the airline to create 2,500 new jobs, with an aim of becoming Europe's largest airline, the company said.
Under the terms of the firm order for 70 aircraft deliveries will be made between 2008 and 2012, Reuters reported.
