European aircraft maker Airbus's annual aircraft sales in the Middle East could more than double within about five years, an executive from the company has said.
The manufacturer expects that growth in air travel within the Middle East and increased business travel and tourism to the region will boost sales of its aircraft.
Airbus sold around 30 to 40 aircraft in the region last year and in five years it expects to sell around 100 aircraft, said the firm's vice president for sales in the Middle East. He did not say if he was including sales already agreed, reported Reuters.
