India to upgrade aviation facilities in Afghanistan

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

India entered into agreements on Thursday (24 February) to upgrade civil aviation facilities and television satellite links in Afghanistan.

India has agreed to train Afghans in airport management, air traffic control, navigation, safety and maintenance of aircraft, said a government spokesperson. In addition, Indian Airlines is to begin flying to Kabul from New Delhi on 27 March.
