Three weeks after the crash of a Kam Air aircraft in Afghanistan, the first bodies of those killed in the accident have been retrieved.
According to an Afghan official the bodies of an American and a Russian have been identified and the bodies of four Afghan men have been returned to the relatives. The efforts to retrieve the human remains have been delayed by bad weather conditions. A total of 46 bodies have so far been recovered by NATO and Afghan troops, but no final list of the victims has been released, The Associated Press reported.
While Italian experts are working to help identify the bodies, some of which were torn apart, American investigators are working to help determine why the Kam Air-operated Boeing 737 crashed.
