Aloha Airlines makes agreement with private equity investor

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
Aloha Airgroup Inc and Aloha Airlines Inc have announced that they have reached an agreement in principle with MatlinPatterson Global Opportunities Partners II LP, a private equity investor, to provide up to USD90m in funding.
David A Banmiller, Aloha's president and CEO, has said that the agreement takes the airline to the threshold of exiting bankruptcy in record time.
The agreement is still subject to US Bankruptcy Court approval as well as other conditions.
