Icelandic airline Icelandair is to order two of Boeing Co's new 787 jets.
The order is part of the carrier's plans to expand its long-range routes from Iceland.
The order for the Boeing 787-8 model aircraft is valued at USD240m at list prices, but since airlines usually negotiate discounts the exact value of the contract is unknown. The jets are to be delivered in 2010, reported The Associated Press.
Icelandair said that it was still evaluating whether to order engines from General Electric Co or Rolls Royce Group Plc for the aircraft.
