Air Arabia to acquire six Airbus aircraft

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Air Arabia, a low-cost airline based in the United Arab Emirates, plans to acquire six Airbus A320 aircraft over the next three years, according to the company's CEO.

The airline is exploring financing options, including leasing, lease-to-purchase, bank lending, bonds and Islamic financing, said the CEO.

Currently the carrier operates a fleet of five leased Airbus A320s serving 15 destinations from its hub at Sharjah International Airport, reported Reuters.
