JetBlue plans to expand its operations in Boston

JetBlue Airways (NasdaqNM:JBLU) announced on Wednesday (2 January) that it planned a major expansion at Boston's Logan Airport.
The New York-based low-cost airline said that beginning in May it plans to occupy five gates and 14 ticket counter positions at the airport's Terminal C. The carrier also plans to add one gate every six months over three years starting in 2006, and will invest more than USD9m to upgrade the terminal.
JetBlue currently occupies two gates at the airport's Terminal E, reported Reuters.
