Southwest Airlines reports January traffic figures

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
Southwest Airlines Co (NYSE: LUV) has announced its January traffic figures.
The carrier flew 4.0bn revenue passenger miles (RPMs) in January 2005, a 15.9% increase from 3.5bn RPMs in January 2004. Available seat miles (ASMs) increased by 10.9% to 6.8bn from the January 2004 level of 6.1bn.
The airline's load factor for the month was 58.8%, compared to 56.2% in 2004.
