The annual passenger traffic at Germany's Frankfurt airport has reportedly exceeded 51.1m for the first time.
Frankfurt airport reportedly saw unprecedented traffic demand in 2004. In December 2004 the airport saw its 50 millionth passenger and it recorded a 5.7% rise in traffic for the year compared to 2003 with a new annual passenger record.
The airport also said that intercontinental flights were behind the growth in passenger traffic, and particularly the connections to North America, the Middle East and the Far East, while in the Asian market destinations in India and China experienced the strongest growth.
