There were delays at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport yesterday (13 January) after a Boeing 737 operated by Delta Air Lines ran off the runway.

The aircraft reportedly got stuck in the mud but according to the Federal Aviation Administration there were no injuries. The FAA said that the aircraft had reported engine trouble before landing and ran off Runway 8 Left, getting the nose landing gear stuck in mud, Reuters reported.

The bad weather at the time, combined with the incident, caused delays at the airport and there were also temporary bans on departures for flights with Atlanta as the destination.
