Finnish virtual airline Flyg & Far Aland ab is reportedly to begin flights between the Finnish capital Helsinki and the provincial capital Maarianhamina.

The route is reportedly intended to be operated in such a way that the Maarianhamina-based company covers two morning flights and the Finnish airline Finnair plc an evening flight.

For the project Flyg & Far has raised some EUR0.5m of capital from 23 companies and two private persons.

The company is not a proper airline, but a marketing company that outsources the actual flights, reported the Finnish news agency STT.
