Hainan Airlines orders six Blended Winglet Systems

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
Six Blended Winglet Systems have been ordered from Aviation Partners Boeing by China's Hainan Airlines.
The airline, the first Asian-based operator of Blended Winglet Equipped Boeing 737s, has ordered an additional six 737-800 systems to be installed as Buyer Furnished Equipment during 2005.
Hainan Airlines has also taken an option to purchase five more Blended Winglets Systems for installation on its future Boeing 737-NG aircraft.
The value of the contract was not announced.
