Embraer reports Q4 deliveries

Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer (NYSE: ERJ) has reported its deliveries for the fourth quarter of 2004.

The company said that the deliveries for the airline market in the quarter were as follows, with year totals in brackets: ERJ 135: 1 (1); ERJ 145: 23 (87); EMBRAER 170: 10 (46). For the corporate market, the company delivered 8 Legacy (13 for the whole year) and for the defence market there were no deliveries in Q4.

The company also said that as of 31 December 2004, Embraer's total firm order backlog, including the airline, corporate and defence markets, totalled USD10.1bn and this includes firm orders from Air Canada for 15 EMBRAER 175 aircraft and from GECAS for four EMBRAER 170 aircraft.

Embraer said that the total deliveries forecast for 2005 and 2006 remains unchanged at 145 aircraft for each year.
