AWAir, an Indonesian-based budget airline, cancelled its maiden flight to Singapore on Wednesday (19 January) after its flight plans were rejected.
Singapore cited a failure to file proper documents with the local authorities.
AWAir had to transfer nearly 300 passengers to another airline after Singapore authorities said it would take at least several days for the documents to be approved.
AWAir claims that it had submitted all relevant operational, regulatory and safety compliance documents to the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore on 15 December to obtain landing rights in the country.
