Flights at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, India were disrupted for two hours on Monday morning (24 January) because of thick fog, which reduced visibility.

At 0800 local time runway visibility range (RVR) was 175 metres, while RVR of 350 metres is required for the normal functioning of flights. At 0900 RVR fell to 125 metres and the situation improved an hour later.

A few flights were delayed between 0800 and 1000, but by 1100 visibility improved to 1,600 metres, said an airport official.
