Munich airport reports after-tax loss for 2004

Germany's Munich airport has reported a 6.7% increase in its core profit for 2004.

The airport also said that the passenger numbers it handled increased by almost 11% year-on-year. According to the airport operator, the earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) increased to EUR112m from EUR105m in 2003 with passenger numbers increasing to 26.8m.

The airport operator reported a EUR55m loss for 2004 after tax, compared to the EUR51m reported in 2003. According to Reuters, the Munich airport operator hopes for a net profit in 2007 at the latest.
