Northwest Airlines announces direct service to Prince Edward Island

Northwest Airlines (Nasdaq: NWAC) has announced a new seasonal direct service between Detroit and Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada.
The airline has said that it will operate one daily flight on the route between 1 July and 15 October 2005. Northwest claims that this will be the only direct service between Prince Edward Island and the US.
Northwest partner Pinnacle Airlines will operate the route with Canadair Regional Jet (CRJ) aircraft.
