On Thursday (27 January) a judge extended US Airways' exclusive right to file a bankruptcy reorganization plan through to the end of March.
The current exclusivity period for the airline to file a restructuring plan expired on 10 January, but the judge had extended it while considering the request to provide a new deadline.
The airline intends to submit its restructuring plan before mid-February but the extension to 31 March gives it more time, said an airline spokesperson.
