United Airlines reaches tentative agreement with unions

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

United Airlines has announced that it has reached tentative agreements with both the Professional Airline Flight Control Association (PAFCA) and the Transport Workers Union (TWU) on cost savings.

The tentative agreements will now have to be ratified by members of both unions. PAFCA's ratification vote is expected to be complete by 6 January and TWU's by 5 January.

United Airlines did not disclose any details of the agreements.
