Federal officials in the US are investigating an incident in which a laser beam was apparently aimed at a jet leaving Nashville International Airport.
On Sunday (2 January) pilots of a United Airlines flight to Chicago reported seeing a green laser beam shortly after takeoff. The flight, which was carrying about 30 people, landed safely in Chicago, said a United spokesperson.
In a separate incident, a pilot of a corporate jet reported seeing green lasers on Wednesday (29 December) as he came in to Teterboro Airport for landing. The authorities have questioned several people but made no arrests, the FBI said.
