American Airlines and American Eagle Airlines report December traffic

American Airlines and American Eagle Airlines have reported their traffic statistics for December 2004.
American Airlines saw its passenger traffic for the month grow by 6.1% compared with December 2003, while capacity increased by 4.9%. The airline's load factor was up 0.9 percentage points to 74.6%.
American Eagle Airlines' load factor increased by 1.1 percentage points year-on-year to 65.7%. The carrier's system-wide traffic for December went up by 28.3% on a capacity increase of 26.1%.
American Airlines boarded 7.8m passengers in December, while American Eagle boarded 1.51m passengers.
