Mesaba Aviation announces June passenger traffic figures

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
Mesaba Aviation, Inc, a subsidiary company of MAIR Holdings, Inc (NASDAQ:MAIR) reported on Friday (8 July) its June passenger traffic figures.
In June Mesaba Aviation flew 248.9m available seat miles (ASMs), a decrease of 1.6% from June 2004. In the month, the airline carried 529,290 passengers, an increase of 3.2% year over year, generating 177.3m revenue passenger miles (RPMs). June passenger load factor decreased 1.3 percentage points year over year to 71.3%.
In the first six months of 2005, the carrier flew 1,52bn ASMs, an increase of 11.3% year over year. The airline carried 2,83m passengers in the period, an increase of 11.8% year over year, generating 990.2m RPMs. Passenger load factor for the first six months of 2005 increased 2.5 percentage points year over year to 65.0%.
