Air Jamaica said on Friday (8 July) that it had resumed air passenger service to and from Jamaica, one day after flights were suspended because of Hurricane Dennis.

As of Friday the airline's flights were said to be operating to both Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston and Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay from the US, Canada, London and throughout the Caribbean.

The arrival of the hurricane had forced Jamaica's airports to close on Thursday (7 July).
