Men arrested for drug trafficking at Hong Kong airport

Two men have been arrested at Hong Kong's airport for allegedly carrying HKD880,000 worth of heroin.

The two men from Hong Kong, aged 42 and 45, were preparing to board a flight to Sydney, Australia when 2.4 kilograms (5.3 pounds) of the drug was found in their luggage, the Hong Kong government said in a statement on Monday (18 July).

They face charges of trafficking dangerous drugs, and if found guilty the pair could be sentenced to a maximum of life imprisonment and a fine of HKD5m.
