A Gulf Air flight made an emergency landing in Iran on Thursday (21 July), the official Islamic Republic News Agency reported.

The Gulf Air Boeing was on its way from London, UK, to Muscat, Oman, when its pilot requested permission for the emergency landing in Tabriz, northwestern Iran, because of a passenger's heart failure. The passenger, a 49-year-old Indian national, was taken to a local hospital and the Gulf Air flight left for Muscat several hours later, reported the Associated Press.
