Italian airport workers' strike cancelled

A strike by Italian airport workers scheduled for today (26 July) has been called off, according to unions representing the employees.

The eight-hour strike was called off after the government offered to mediate in the conflict with the airport companies, according to the transport branch of the CGIL labour confederation, The Associated Press reported.
