The Norwegian competition authority (Konkurransetilsynet) reportedly plans to fine the airline SAS Braathens, part of the SAS Group, NOK30m for once again using its market dominance to allegedly force a rival carrier off one of its routes.

SAS Braathens had reportedly abused its dominant position on the route between Oslo and Alesund on Norway's west coast, forcing the Norwegian airline Norwegian Air Shuttle to drop the route.

SAS Braathens has vigorously denied price dumping, reported the online edition of the Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten.
