Northwest Airlines Corp raised its fares aimed at business travellers on Friday (10 June).
Northwest raised its fares by USD50 each way. The carrier has had several small fare increases this year, but it has not benefited much from those increases as discount carriers have not matched them, said the carrier's executive vice president for marketing and distribution on Friday.
In addition, Northwest added a two-night minimum stay requirement to some fares that used to require just one night's stay, reported The Associated Press.
