Air New Zealand CEO resigns to become head of bank

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Ralph Norris, the CEO of Air New Zealand, has resigned.

Norris is reportedly leaving the airline to become the CEO of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. According to boston.com, Norris played a key role in the rescue of the airline, and is also the former managing director and CEO of ASB Bank Ltd, the New Zealand business of the Australian bank he is now joining as CEO.
