India's Paramount Airways orders five Embraer aircraft

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer has reportedly entered into a contract with Indian carrier Paramount Airways five new aircraft.

The order, Embraer's first in India, covers two 70-seat ERJ-170 aircraft and three 78-seat ERJ-175s.

The contract was finalised and announced at the Paris Air show and is said to be worth some USD140m for Embraer.
